Nottingham (Northern Aphelion)

Notts SC Adbolton Lane, West Bridgford, Nottingham. NG2 5AS

Nottingham SC is based on a broad section of the River Trent and has an active Comet fleet. The club facilities are great, and launching is easy. This is not the norm of river sailing - there is plenty of room, little current (except in flood conditions), and the course is quite long.

Winsford Flash (Northern Aphelion)

Winsford Flash Sailing Club Stocks Hill Darnhall, Winsford, Cheshire

Winsford Flash has an active Comet fleet with a class captain and separate series. It is the most active Northern Comet club and is a really friendly place. The Flash provides plenty of space for racing, has great launching facilities with pontoons making it possible to retain dry feet, and a comfortable clubhouse serving […]

Cransley (Northern Aphelion)

Cransley Sailing Club Eagle Lane, Cransley, Northamptonshire

Redesmere Sailing Club Congleton Road Siddington, Macclesfield, Cheshire

A small, friendly club which has really good facilities and is a past winner of RYA's Club of the Year. Expect a warm welcome. There is an open the following day at Ogston SC. Free camping is available at […]

Staunton Harold (Northern Aphelion)

Staunton Harold Sailing Club Calke Road, Melbourne, Derdyshire

Staunton Harold is traditionally our final event of the season. There are quite a few Comets raced here. It is a very well-attended open and prizegiving includes Aphelion awards. We normally share the day with the Solo fleet. This large reservoir offers long courses and excellent facilities.
