Welcome to the Comet Class Association Website
Affiliated to the RYA, the Comet Class Association is a voluntary organisation run by and for Comet Dinghy owners. We promote and influence Comet sailing at all levels.
The Association regularly publishes a magazine, “Perihelion”, with tips on Comet sailing, Members’ experiences, racing reports from open meetings and championships, news from clubs, interviews with Comet personalities, and more.
There are two championship meetings each year at which Members of all ages and abilities are encouraged to take part. The National Championship is usually a three-day event in the summer whilst the Association Championship is typically a two-day event earlier in the year. In a normal year there are over twenty open meetings organised at clubs from Derbyshire down to the South Coast at which anyone with a Comet is welcome.
