The club has good facilities and a fairly new clubhouse. The lake is of good size, and the presence of islands makes for "interesting" racing. Launching is easy. Ogston is a reservoir approaching 200 acres in a beautiful part of Derbyshire (Amber Valley). Ogston SC is experienced at holding successful open and championship events, and the food is first class. Littleton is a longstanding Comet venue. There are a couple of club Comets and a number of Comet helms. The facilities at Littleton are really good in all areas, with the 2 storey clubhouse affording virtually uninterrupted views over the whole 80 acres of racing area.

Carsington SC is based at a very large reservoir with great facilities in a beautiful area. Comets will have a separate start at the end of club starts. We hope for a high entry in 2026, because this represents an ideal opportunity to "tune up" for the scheduled National Championship here in 2027.
Staunton Harold is traditionally our final event of the season when Aphelion awards for the year are presented, and this is the case in 2026. There are quite a few Comets raced here and it is a well-attended open. This large reservoir offers long courses and excellent facilities.
