24 Open Meetings and 2 Championship weekends

The Opens are divided into 5 areas, (North, South, East, West and Central) for the regional travellers' trophies, the Comet Aphelions. There is an overall travellers' trophy, the Comet Orbital.

Open meetings are available to anyone sailing a Comet.

Championship meetings and eligibility for the travellers' trophies, other prizes and mementoes is restricted to members of the Comet Class Association. Qualification details are published in 'Perihelion', Spring 2008 edition.
